I’ve always loved art since I was little, then when I was growing into the punk scene and more alternative subcultures I couldn’t wait until my 18th birthday to get my first tattoo. I love having a culmination of different artists work, and also pieces done by friends of mine. I’m a medical laboratory scientist and at first I was worried certain hospitals would make me cover my tattoos, but thankfully all the places I’ve worked didn’t have policies against tattoos. Though I usually stand out from a lot of coworkers I’ve had, being non-binary, dyed hair and multiple tattoos, this is what a scientist looks like! I think the most important thing is to be yourself and do what makes you happy. Customize your “character” however you like! -Emily
